(January 7, 2008) The Anaya Brothers have done it again!  Think: Handmade tortillas cooked to order, freshly prepared salsas, cooked-to-order carne asada sliced to juicy perfection.  Think:  The Best “F*****G Taco” you have ever had in LA!

At the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Havenhurst (two blocks west of Crescent Heights), PINCHES TACOS has opened with a bang.  The Anaya brothers, owners of The Original Cha Cha Cha Restaurants, have imported not only original family recipes from their home in Guadalajara, Mexico, but also the family members who make them!  Three generations of Anaya’s have passed down the perfected recipes of home made salsas, secret mole ingredients, and carne asada marinades in Jalisco, Mexico – the only true “home” of the taco!

The Anaya recipes not only speak to family traditions, but also to Mexican folklore.  The great grandfather is reputed to have cooked for the happy villains of the Pancho Villa clan, originating the recipes that would continue to be cherished for generations to come.  PINCHES TACOS brings the recipes of bite-sized soft tacos, burritos, and tortas.  The family patriarch proudly proclaims the 114 year old mole recipe has remained untouched and unchanged throughout the four generations since its inception, along with “secret family recipes” for “al pastor” marinated pork and beef “barbacoa.”

PINCHES TACOS is scheduled to serve up secret family recipes beginning at 11am daily, until a late night 3am on most evenings.  Although the space does not hold a liquor license, there is a telephone hotline at the ordering station that will whisk a six pack of beer or a bottle of wine from across the street in seconds.  For those that might be unduly concerned about vegetarian options, wheat tortillas and vegetarian selections are available; however, with a name like PINCHES TACOS don’t you want to enjoy the real thing?!
